It can also enable you to squeeze in a 36-hole day at two different courses at the same time – a feat only possible via helicopter.
Helicopters can seat from a small number of people up to a large group, depending on your needs. A range of packages can be arranged including everything from an hour-long sightseeing tour to a full day excursion to the Isle of Mull, taking in a couple of world-class links courses on the way.
All you need to do is book online and we will handle your Edinburgh Airport transfer(s) as part of your package. We will send you an instant quote and confirmation, allowing you to relax and enjoy your trip. We can also help with any additional transportation requirements during your stay. This may include sightseeing tours, distillery visits, dinner bookings ect.
Chauffeured Transfers
A comfortable and reliable mode of transportation is just as important for a golf trip as the accommodation or the courses chosen. After all, there is little fun to be derived from missing out on a tee time due to a broken down rental car or getting lost in unfamiliar country roads.
Chauffeured transfers are the perfect solution for golf groups seeking both luxury and convenience. From our fleet of Mercedes V Class People Carriers (up to 7 passengers) and Mercedes S Class chauffeur cars we can provide transfers to and from the airport, to your accommodation and to golf courses throughout Scotland.
We also have a range of bespoke vehicles available for larger groups. From a high-end executive car for 2 to 4 people, to an executive minibus for 6 to 8 people or a midsize coach suitable for up to 16 people with individual reclining ‘Captain’ seats, large sunroofs, leather seating, fridges and plenty of storage space for luggage and clubs.
Our chauffeurs are highly experienced and knowledgeable about Scotland, its history, culture, cuisine and much more. Upon request they can recommend restaurants, pubs and other attractions that are of interest to you and your group. Our chauffers can be dressed in suits or kilts and are all fluent in English.
Depending on the course schedule and location of your hotel or apartment we can also arrange helicopter transport. This can make the impossible possible, for example playing St Andrews and Troon in one day or the remote links gems of Royal Dornoch or Macrihanish in Northern Ireland.
Helicopter flights can be booked directly by you or we can help to book through a reputable third party. The latter option often proves more cost-effective as we are able to pass on the discounted rates that are available to us.
We can also offer door-to-door baggage shipping services through our partner Ship Sticks. This ensures your clubs are transported in the most secure way possible and arrives at your hotel in perfect condition ready to play.
Self-Drive Transfers
While self-drive golf vacations certainly aren’t a bad thing, many of our clients prefer to opt for the chauffeur driven transportation option. Gone are worries about driving times and distances, directions and missing tee times due to a tired driver. It also allows the group to sample a few extra fine malt whiskies without the worry of a return drive.
We have access to luxury chauffeur vehicles, minivans and coaches which can be customised to accommodate groups of 2 right through to 24 golfers. Chauffeured cars and vans offer supreme levels of comfort with reclining ‘captain’ seats, wifi, TVs and fridge (with bottled water). The luxury coaches are equipped with comfortable leather seating, tables and USB capability. Our chauffeurs have been trained with Scotland in mind and will add their knowledge and personalities to your tour.
Using a coach for your transfers is an excellent choice for larger groups and gives you the freedom to use the vehicle throughout your tour for sightseeing, distillery visits, dinner bookings etc. It is also a great way to get between courses as you have plenty of room for all your luggage. Coaches are available in a range of sizes from 9 all the way up to 40 seats.
Helicopter Transfers
Helicopter transfers are a fantastic way to experience the best of Scotland and Ireland’s golf courses. It is a great option for those looking to fit in more golf locations into their limited time-frame. It also allows you to experience remote links gems such as Royal Dornoch or Nairn.
Depending on your itinerary we can arrange a one or multiple day helicopter hire. Helicopter transport is not cheap but it will make your tour a truly memorable event.
We can organise caddies for you if you require them, however these are not guaranteed and will be based on availability. Caddie charges are usually paid on the course in cash and a gratuity is normally expected – this is at your discretion. We would be happy to request a caddie for you in advance of your trip and will advise you of the charge.
Coach Transfers
A number of specialist golf transport companies provide luxury coaches of various sizes for clients to use throughout their tour. Smaller coaches will cater for groups of up to 12 people, while larger coach options can accommodate up to 40 golfers and their clubs. The coach is for your exclusive use and can be used for transfers, sightseeing tours, distillery visits, dinner bookings and anything else that you wish to include in your itinerary.
Chauffeured travel is often a very popular option for golfers, as it removes any worry over travelling times and directions and allows you to enjoy your tour in more comfort. Your chauffeur will be knowledgeable and will offer suggestions and recommendations of things to see and do during your trip, ensuring that your experience is both enjoyable and memorable.
